There will be an outing on this Sunday! We will be going to Sentosa again! It's going to be fun and entertaining for everyone, so try to make it! So, here are the details:

CHOIR outing on this Sunday at Sentosa, palawan beach.
Meeting at pasir ris mrt station at11.15am.
We'll board the train at 11.25am so if you are coming later, can meet us at harbourfront mrt station(at 12.15pm) or Sentosa...
*Have your lunch before coming.
* Ladies, please wear DARK coloured clothes!

-EXTRA CLOTHES (MUST! you will regret not bringing...)

CCA Bazaar people ! Wasn't it really a success ! Woohooo ! We managed to grab quite a number of kids , boys and girls alike . That was EPIC . Heh . Thanks to ALLLL of your efforts and singing and screaming and pulling and strangling[!] and just for being there today to chip in even in the littlest manner ever . Love everyone who was present ;D Y'all really really rock cause y'all brought in new members , though not officially . The choir family really is a family .

So , a new year , new beginnings , new events to look forward to ! For choir , we have the performance for our Sec 1s who we so obviously want to lure , to join us ^^ . On Wednesday , we shall be all gung-ho and hyped-up to sing the HSM songs which we have practiced so very hard ( Yes sir ! ) We want to smile and show some teeth , not to scare them off ( no no ! ) but to attract them . To grab at talents or hidden talents ( oooh ! ) . So , on Wednesday , we smile and move to the groove and certainly not stand stock straight , stiff , with blank , expressionless faces . No can do . We must be ..... AWESOME AND GREAT AND JUST THE BEST ! Rub off some of our cool vibes to the Sec 1s so they join us in loving choir and everything to do with choir ( You know what I'm talking about ;D ) . Heh . Okay , so , do I have to scream Ready , Set , Go or are you guys already prepared way before I have to open my big mouth ?? Yeah , you and I know the answer to that right .

Choir June Camp 2009

Dear campers who survived the camp,

This must be one of the most intense, mind-blowing, strictest, no time wasting choir camp in many years to come. And some of you may be even pushed to your limits as well.

I want this choir camp to make you understand, the importance of discipline, presenting yourself well, respect, having initiatives and of course, the importance of encouragement to your friends when situations get very tough. The most important lesson of all is that with unity, anything can be possible. And I believe all of you had a very hard lesson learning the importance of unity through all that sessions with me.

I want you to remember this experience. Use these lessons to define your role as a choir member. This is the type of standard every single choir member should have. And remember, always be proud to be a choir member because once a choir member, always a choir member even after you have graduated.

And show to the school that choir is not a CCA to be looked down upon. A CCA that you better not mess with!

Lastly, I hope you guys enjoyed the camp. Your sec 3 leaders had done an excellent job to ensure that the camp proceed as planned. The campers had also done an excellent job in cooperating with them as well. And I would also like to show my appreciation to all the alumni and the sec 4s who despite their studies and other commitments, who bothered finding time to attend this camp to give support to your juniors.

Without all of you working hand-in-hand, this camp would not be a success.

hey people!
today's full dress rehersal was a really good one! You all really sang and smiled! haha, but I'm sure you all can smile more right? And try to move and sway to the music, don't be so stone! You all are really improving, so must continue to do so and remember to help each other in this big family. Remember that no one is perfect and not everybody will sound good when singing alone. You all will sound good if you all put in effort and sing together in harmony. Take every practise seriously and keep on improving, don't forget that your competition is on 11 of august! One thing to take note of is that when you are all waiting outside the hall for your turn, please,please,please DO NOT TALK! For your own sake, please do not talk, beacause it won't be very nice if you're scolded. So just keep quiet and wait for your turn ok? And always FIX your eyes on the conductor, be it ms tan or mrs sasarak!

Time really flies and soon, xiao xuan and I will be stepping down. We will miss you guys beacuse you all are like the babies of the big family! But no matter what, you all must stay united always! And have confidence in youreselves, because you all can do it! Remember the choir camp!

There are some technical problems faced by cbox.ws thus the reason why some peeps are blocked from tagging. I experienced that problem as well. Anyway, there's something i need to clarify.

First of all, the reason why i blocked kaying is 'coz she spammed and cursed on the tagboard the other time. I've already said that spamming and the using of vulgarities on tagboard will not be tolerated and the peeps who do that will be ban from using the tagboard. If some of you still remember, i even had to go to the extent of removing the tagboard to stop the spamming.

Secondly, i'm quite disappointed with some peeps for not believing in me. I'm not going to bother about the criticism on the tagboard. See the truth with your own eyes... who is right and who is wrong.

Thirdly, i would like to emphasize again the rules when using the tagboard here: NO VULGARITIES & NO SPAMMING.

Lastly, i've been rather busy this period of time so you guys will have to bear with the tagboard for a while... Why not try using the choir msn group? Click into your own section's discussion board and 'tag' all you want there! Stay active as always! Let's see which section is rockin' the msn group! HA HA HA!

Hey people!It's been a while since I last left my voice here and boy,is this place filled with dusts and mould.I can really see the thick layers of dust piled up-.- but at least i can hear some sound from the tagboard=D

Haha anyway,it's after the exams so scream and shout people!(but dont lose your voices) Hope you guys gave your best shot in the exams=) Anyway,I'm here to keep you guys updated to the latest news and upcoming activities.

First thing,choir practice is resuming on the 16th of May. Look forward to all of your presence,and of cos I expect minimum if best,ZERO absentees. Any further notices will be put up on our new notice board which is going to be ready latest by this coming Thursday. So do drop by and see (and admirexD) the board frequently. FYI,the board is just beside the canteen.

Second thing,to all Sec3 members,please take note that there is a COMPULSORY meeting on the 15th of May(this coming thursday) regarding nomination stuff.It should only take about 1 hr so there's no excuses as to any of your absence. It is only fair if everybody attends this meeting,so please do take note.

The annual choir camp is from the 10th-12th of June(third week of holidays on the sch planner).The dates are confirmed so please leave these dates free for the camp. The camp is compulsory therefore you'll only be excused with a valid reason. The purpose of the camp is to bond the choir and to get some of us to know our new juniors better. I'll assure you that it'll definitely be a fun camp(in fact all camps are fun!) so do look forward to it like what i'm doing now=)

On the fourth week of the holidays(on the sch planner) there's a local choir competition. In view of preparing for this competition,there are intensive training allocated during the camp as well to prepare and polish you guys. And also with the official school openning performance coming up,I truly hope everyone will give in their best and not skip any of the practice sessions since they're meant to improve all of your singing skills.

So as you can see,they are many things in stalled for all of you this coming term,in fact even before the new school term starts. Please take note of all of them,especially the upcoming competition.In order to maintain the standard of the choir,which is a GOLD,each and everyone of you are to focus and concentrate during practices.Any queries in singing,the key word is ask.All of us must play a part in maintaining the standard of the choir.The choir sings as a whole not just one person.And i know it's been a long time since you last sang any of the songs,be it dravidian or samba le le,so do practice by yourself at home as well.Look through your scores,revise!

Take that as a promise to me.And with that,I shall end off this post before i start being a nag=X Ciao!

I would like to welcome the new sec 1s who just joined this big big family! Haha,now our family has grown bigger with 32 more new babies. I'm sure that the new babies would be well-taken care of by the 'older' members as you all take the babies under your wings and guide them along the way. Just like how we guided you. Just to remind you guys that in choir, you must must MUST have fun, but not to forget that all play and no work also makes jack a naughty boy. Therefore, there must still be discipline,respect and tolerence. If you guys do not accomplish those, there will bound to be scoldings, especially from yanting! Thus, in order to prevent the ugly side of me from being unleashed, please try your best to refrain from talking. Especially during SECTIONALS and COMBINEDS!!! So we would all look forward to having better practices each time,ok?

4th January '08 is a very good day thanks to you guys!

I really enjoy my visit today... You guys did awesomely awesome! Keep it up, Man! Behaving just like a Gold Choir today! Whahaha! A huge round of applause to everyone! I'm really really really very happy for all of you.

I believe this is not only the effort of the teachers, sectional leaders and cwc members. Everyone has a part to play, am i right?

But i'm still glad that the leaders are doing a great job! Don't forget to study hard for your examinations and continue to sing out loud and proud! Remember to bounce more! HAHAHA!

Wish you guys have fun with the new instructor. Ms Choo is a really sweet lady.

Hey people,hope you guys have been enjoying yourselves during the holidays (: But,i hope you all didn't play to the extend of forgetting that there will still be choir practises during the holidays. Just in case you guys really forgot or you do not have the schedule,here's the schedule specially posted up here so that you all can take a look. Ok, the practises are as follow:
1)17 dec (monday)-9am to 12pm
2)21 dec (friday)-9am to 12pm
3)27 dec (thursday)-9am to 12pm
4)28 dec (friday)-10.30am to 1.30pm
5)31 dec (monday)-9am to 12pm
ok,so these are the practises and as you all can see,we only have 5 practises during the holidays while other CCAs have much, MUCH, MORE practices.So we sincerely hope that you all will be able to make it for ALL the practises as they are IMPORTANT for the preparation for the secondary 1 orientation next year.ALL choir practises will be held in the CHOIR ROOM in the NEW SCHOOL at TAMPINES.Just for your information,the choir room is also the music room. So,we are really looking forward to seeing you guys there!

A big hello to all Choir members(:This is the first time I'm blogging here,so please pardon my lame-ness and the random-ness of this post as I really dont know what to post about.

The reason as to why I'm suddenly appearing to post on the choir blog is that I want to thank all the choir members who made the effort to turn up during the school open house to give choir the needed support and also,especially to those who turned up for the past few days to help us prepare for the choir booth for the open house.I can see that all of you have put in a lot of effort into the preparation and I am really appreciative of that(I'm sure the other com. members feel the same way too=)It'll be good if even more people will join us in the events involving choir in the future.

And also to the seniors who came/wanted to come but failed to due to some reasons,thanks for helping us one way or other and also giving us your support=)

And with reference to the upcoming CCA open house,there'll be a couple of stuff that we've to prepare such as flyers,banners etc.Most of you will be involved in the making of some of these stuff,thus we'll notify all of you asap.I really look forward to seeing all of you participate actively during the preparation of the CCA open house and also during ALL choir practices.

Our conductors have left us due to some reasons but we MUST still learn to be independent and strive to achieve our best as a GOLD choir.We're a choir,a family,and thus we should still uphold and strengthen the strong bonds among all of us.If there're any unhappiness or discontent that you've found in the choir,feel free to voice it out to me or to any of the com. members and we'll try to solve it.Whatever it is,I truely hope the mindset of all of you towards choir is still a positive one.If there're any suggestions as to how the choir can be improved,feel free to voice it out as well,your suggestions are deeply valued by us.

Once again,a big thank you to all who helped out one way or other during the school open house(: Ok,I think I'd better stop before I really start typing crap here,hehe.
